Brilliant Business Strategy

Despite the strong showing at this years Adepticon and its continued strong fanbase despite the total lack of support. Warhammer Historical has now had its last throes and is dead. I wont bother too much with jumping in on the  public flogging over  the epic stupidity of no longer officially supporting WAB, The post title says it all..(.I just wish I had a font that bled sarcasm.)  Needless to say, Warlord Games certainly thanks you. I guess its cool we move all the Historical events  at Adepticon over the Hail Caesar rules since The rule system is in print and well supported. That just makes good business sense.

Damn, so now my choices are to play a ruleset that isn't supported, or one that I don't like? Guess I'm in no rush to get my Romans finished...

'The King is dead, long live the King?'

My WABing interest dwindled at the change over from v1.0 to 1.5... and just about died entirely switching to v2 (I didnt buy in to that one).

I like the look and feel of Hail Caesar (bought in!), i just dont have many local ancients players to try it out against... :-(

I havent played ancients in a couple years now...

I will only miss LOTOW and LOTHS, I was hoping for a big hardcover with all the stuff in it like Necromunda.

I agree with Scott. They lost me when they printed the second edition. I didn't buy one either.

Hail Caesar!

Vikings coming soon!

This is sad. I don't get why GW doesn't license these titles out to people who want to see them grow? Competition?

At the end of the day however, the WAB stuff that is out will allow people to play to their heart's content. Its not like finding minis will be tough. It will stunt the ability of new players to get in, but doesn't take the game away from those who presently play it.
