For some reason we were under the impression that dispel dice were finite.

We will know better next game.Felix Flautahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00645999988674441594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6786977598764243863.post-26223316947812709562007-09-12T20:12:00.000-05:002007-09-12T20:12:00.000-05:00yeah total a fluke, without that falling in my lap...yeah total a fluke, without that falling in my lap you solidly kicked my ass..you made the right call.
Although I was spacing out on scoring via table quarters until you mentioned it. If you had killed my archers, I probably would have engaged the dryads with my remaining swordsmen and general hoping to take you below 1/2 strength and staying away from you ranged and magic via being locked into CC...that why I love this game the way you are never really out of it. like we where saying to mike, about 40K, once the scale tips you're finished.JPLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12461099993856743894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6786977598764243863.post-55730160226817691872007-09-12T18:54:00.000-05:002007-09-12T18:54:00.000-05:00Maybe I should have bypassed your tasty unit and e...Maybe I should have bypassed your tasty unit and engaged those archers with my Dryads. But how was I to know they were going to eat my general?

The thing is, charging the archers would have left your general and swordsmen free to contest table quarters and mess with my deployment, so I'm not complaining about the end result. I think it was down to dice for the archers.Felix Flautahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00645999988674441594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6786977598764243863.post-90875447681613512542007-09-12T14:47:00.000-05:002007-09-12T14:47:00.000-05:00Doh, I had your army list right in front of me and...Doh, I had your army list right in front of me and I still got it wrong
corrected to "wild riders"

I think your list is pretty solid and difficult for me to counter..I go that direction as we increase points
looking forward to next week,JPLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12461099993856743894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6786977598764243863.post-11282556944206892972007-09-12T14:11:00.000-05:002007-09-12T14:11:00.000-05:00A few things come to mind.My cavalry was the Wild ...A few things come to mind.

My cavalry was the Wild Riders. Wind Riders are the ones who ride giant eagles (don't ask).

I misread the rules for a number of things. For example, the Wardancers should have had a 6+ Ward save on turns they weren't doing their fancy dance.

I also forgot that the noble Wildrider kindred gets an extra attack on combats when he's not charging (like the Wildriders would have gotten).

But I guess those two things balance out.

Probably my favorite thing was actually finishing before closing.Felix Flautahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00645999988674441594noreply@blogger.com
